About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Unarmed Patrol Security Officer for a utility location in Salem, Virginia. The officer will help safeguard the site and create a welcoming environment for employees, contractors, and visitors through visible patrols, access monitoring, customer service, accurate documentation, and responses to routine security concerns and incidents. The role pays $18.67 per hour and is scheduled Thursday and Friday, 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM. Employees can use Allied Universal’s Claim a Shift platform to view and claim additional shifts.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements; a license may be required before employment.

Alarm panel experience.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to personnel, contractors, and visitors while following security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
Respond calmly and effectively to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations according to established utility location protocols.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas; identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
Monitor access points and verify authorized entry for employees, contractors, delivery personnel, and visitors.
Accurately and promptly document patrols, incidents, observations, and other security-related activities, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
