About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Armed Security Officer Patrol Driver in Richmond, Virginia. The role serves and safeguards clients at transit-related locations by conducting armed patrols, maintaining a visible presence, responding to security concerns, and supporting a welcoming environment for passengers, visitors, and employees. It combines driving, professional communication, sound judgment, and customer service. The scheduled shifts are Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 3:30 PM to 1:00 AM. Pay is $21.63 per hour.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• An armed guard card or license.
• A valid driver’s license, as required under Allied Universal driver policy for driving positions.
• At least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

• CPR and First Aid certification.
• Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and baton.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, passengers, visitors, and employees while following security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations, following post orders and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of transit facilities, vehicle areas, parking areas, and surrounding perimeters to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
• Monitor access points and assigned locations; report suspicious behavior, hazards, and maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear and accurate reports of incidents, patrol activities, and other security-related observations.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
