About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Unarmed Security Officer to support a technology, media, and telecommunications location in Jacksonville, Florida. The role involves providing a visible security presence, conducting routine patrols, monitoring access and visitor activity, responding to incidents, and delivering customer service. The schedule is Wednesday through Friday, 4:00 p.m. to midnight. The pay rate is $16.73 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while following site-specific security procedures and policies.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, access points, parking areas, loading docks, and perimeter areas; identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or policy concerns.
Monitor access control points, visitor activity, and delivery traffic; verify credentials and direct individuals according to site procedures.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and other critical events in accordance with established emergency response procedures.
Accurately document patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
