About The Position
As a part-time Armed Security Officer supporting a government location in Crozier, Virginia, you will help safeguard clients by conducting armed patrols, monitoring access points, maintaining a visible presence, and responding professionally to evolving situations. You will provide customer service and clear communication while supporting a welcoming environment. The scheduled shifts are Friday and Saturday, 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM. The pay rate is $18.00 per hour.
Requirements
- Possess an Armed Guard Card or license.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
- Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Meet applicable state and local licensing requirements, which may be required prior to employment.
Nice To Haves
- Access control and badge experience.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet.
- Customer service experience.
- A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and authorized personnel while following security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
- Monitor access control points, verify authorization as directed by site procedures, and report unusual activity, policy violations, and security concerns.
- Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, following established protocols and coordinating with appropriate personnel or emergency responders.
- Carry authorized equipment in accordance with applicable laws, licensing requirements, company policies, and site-specific procedures.
- Complete accurate incident reports and daily activity documentation.
