About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Screening for a logistics and distribution location in Indianapolis, Indiana. The role supports a secure environment by screening people and property, monitoring access points, verifying badges, and reporting security concerns. Officers interact professionally with employees and visitors, use computer or tablet systems, and follow site-specific procedures. The stated pay rate is $17.22 per hour. The schedule is Thursday, Friday, and Sunday from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any licensing requirements that apply under state or local laws and regulations; licensing may be required before employment.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and delivery drivers while following site-specific procedures and access-screening protocols.
Screen employees, contractors, visitors, packages, and property; report prohibited items or irregularities to site leadership.
Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, and maintain accurate records of screening activities and incidents.
Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, following emergency response procedures as directed.
Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas and the perimeter to deter unauthorized access and identify security concerns.
