About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer in South Chesterfield, Virginia. The officer will help safeguard clients across industries including commercial real estate, healthcare, education, and government. The position is identified as temporary and full-time, with an hourly rate of $18.22. Standard shifts are 8:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m., 4:00 p.m.–12:00 a.m., and 12:00 a.m.–8:00 a.m.; all days of the week are available. Daily and weekly pay options are offered.

The role involves providing customer service while following safety and security procedures and site-specific policies, responding calmly to incidents, and conducting regular and random patrols around the business and its perimeter. Work environments and conditions may vary by client site.

Applicants must meet the age requirement for the role, have a high school diploma or equivalent or five years of verifiable experience, and undergo a background investigation and drug screen as permitted by law. Licensing may be required under applicable state or local rules. A valid driver’s license is required only for driving positions.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles or at least 21 years old for armed roles.
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent, or five years of verifiable experience.
• Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment.
• Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
• Have a valid driver’s license for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out safety and security procedures and site-specific policies, and participate in emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter.
