About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time overnight Security Officer at a food and beverage production location in Dubuque, Iowa. The officer will help safeguard the site by managing access points, verifying credentials, monitoring access activity, and supporting a welcoming environment for employees, visitors, vendors, and drivers. The role includes customer service, clear communication, reporting security-related concerns, and following site-specific procedures. The scheduled shifts are Tuesday through Friday, 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM. Pay is $19.00 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet licensing requirements that may apply under state or local laws and regulations; licensing may be required before employment.
Have a valid driver’s license only if the position involves driving.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and drivers while carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and authorization, issue visitor credentials, and maintain accurate access logs.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; escalate concerns to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as directed.
Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned facility entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations, watching for unauthorized access or unusual activity.
Monitor delivery and contractor access, follow established procedures for restricted areas, and maintain a professional presence.
