About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Patrol Unarmed Security Officer at an aerospace and defense location in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. This driving position involves conducting routine and random patrols, maintaining a visible presence to help deter incidents, supporting access control, and providing professional customer service. The role requires strong communication and technology skills and supports a dynamic environment. The scheduled shifts are Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 12:00 AM to 8:00 AM. The pay rate is $20.98 per hour. Applicants are subject to a background investigation and, where permitted by law, a drug screen. Licensing requirements may apply under state or local laws.

Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements; a valid driver’s license is required for driving positions.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any licensing requirements imposed by state or local laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to personnel and visitors while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, follow site protocols, and notify appropriate personnel.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities, access points, parking areas, and the perimeter to identify unusual activity and support site requirements.
Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as directed, and report unauthorized entry attempts or policy violations.
Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift handoff communications in accordance with company and site procedures.
