About The Position

The Security Officer helps maintain a safe and secure environment for clients by monitoring premises, controlling access, and patrolling assigned locations. The role preserves order by enforcing regulations and directives for client sites concerning personnel, visitors, and the surrounding area. The position is full-time and based in Albuquerque, New Mexico, on an overnight schedule from Friday through Monday, 0000–0800.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
High school diploma or GED required.
Advanced computer and technology skills.
Excellent customer service and team leadership skills.
Ability to work independently.
Ability to remain calm and professional during stressful situations.
Great attention to detail and ability to remain vigilant throughout the shift.
Professional demeanor.
Ability to respond to emergencies with rapid, effective judgment and appropriate escalation.
Willingness to participate in pre-employment screening, including a drug screen and background investigation.
Report-writing skills.

Security, law enforcement, or military experience.

Responsibilities

Monitor premises and control access.
Patrol assigned locations and conduct property tours, scanning checkpoints with a VISION device.
Enforce site regulations, directives, and post orders.
Complete assigned rounds.
Resolve conflicts and de-escalate situations.
Interact frequently with client employees and guests, providing customer service and information.
Identify and report safety issues, hazardous conditions, and suspicious activity.
Monitor cameras.
Activate and deactivate badges.
Use technology devices throughout the shift.
Respond to emergencies using effective judgment and appropriate escalation.
Perform other tasks and duties of a similar nature and scope as required at the assigned site.
