About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed Security Officer Patrol in Lynchburg, Virginia, at a manufacturing and industrial location. The officer will safeguard the site by monitoring access points, conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence, supporting badge and access-control activities, and providing professional customer service to employees and visitors. The scheduled shifts run Wednesday through Sunday, 12:00 AM to 8:00 AM. The pay rate is $17.00 per hour.

Requirements

Graduate of a Law Enforcement or Military Police Training Program, or equivalent.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Subject to a background investigation as a condition of employment.
Subject to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

Comfort using a computer or tablet.
Customer service experience.
Baton certification.
Access-control or badge experience.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific security procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations; notify site contacts or emergency services as directed.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, production areas, parking areas, loading docks, and the perimeter.
Monitor entry and exit points, verify authorized access, maintain visitor and contractor logs, and observe vehicle traffic according to site procedures.
Complete activity reports, incident reports, and shift documentation, and communicate relevant security information to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.
