About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Unarmed Mobile Patrol Driver in Martinsville, Virginia, to serve and safeguard clients at a chemical/petrochemical location. The role involves conducting routine unarmed patrols, maintaining a visible presence to help deter incidents, and providing customer service through clear communication. This is a driving position and requires a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal policy. The pay rate is $14.21 per hour. The listed overnight schedule is Monday through Wednesday and Thursday and Sunday, 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM.

Requirements

A valid driver’s license, in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
A high school diploma or equivalent.
Subject to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Subject to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical manufacturing location.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, hazardous material concerns, and other critical situations according to site protocols, notifying appropriate personnel.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, production-adjacent areas, access points, parking areas, and the perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
Monitor access control points, verify credentials, maintain visitor and contractor records, and report unauthorized entry attempts or policy concerns.
Prepare clear and accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift handoff information in accordance with company and site requirements.
