About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Unarmed Patrol Officer for a corporate location in Redwood City, California. The officer will conduct routine and random patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, monitor assigned areas and access points, respond to security-related concerns, and provide customer service. The role is scheduled Monday through Friday, 3:30 PM to 12:00 AM, at a rate of $28.00 per hour. Employment is conditional on a background investigation and drug screen, to the extent permitted by law. Applicable state or local licensing may be required before employment. A valid driver’s license is required only for driving positions.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years old for an unarmed role.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment.
Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by following security procedures and site-specific policies, and carry out emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and with a problem-solving approach.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the business location and perimeter, and report unusual activity or conditions according to site procedures.
Monitor access points and verify visitor, employee, and contractor authorization in accordance with site-specific requirements.
Document observations, incidents, and patrol activities accurately and communicate with site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
