About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed patrol Security Officer for a healthcare location in Durham, North Carolina. The officer will help safeguard patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence, monitoring access and visitor activity, and responding to incidents and emergencies. The role involves providing customer service, communicating clearly, and using computer or tablet tools as needed. Pay is $20.46 per hour. The schedule is Monday through Wednesday, 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday, 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Requirements

Be at least 21 years of age.
Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
Have a valid driver’s license if assigned to a driving position.

Comfort using a computer or tablet.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of healthcare facilities, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, medical-related emergencies, and critical situations, following established site procedures.
Monitor access points and visitor activity, provide directions and escorts as assigned, and report unusual conditions or incidents to appropriate personnel.
Complete activity logs, incident reports, and patrol documentation in accordance with company and site-specific requirements.
