Security Officer - Full Time - Patrol
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed patrol Security Officer for a retail or mall location in Springfield, Ohio. The officer will help safeguard clients and visitors by conducting patrols, maintaining a visible presence, monitoring activity, responding to incidents, documenting observations, and providing customer service. The role pays $19.00 per hour and is paid weekly. No prior experience is required. The posted schedule is Monday and Tuesday from 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM, and Saturday and Sunday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Applicants must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent. Employment is subject to a background investigation and, where permitted by law, a drug screen. Licensing may be required under applicable state or local regulations. A valid driver’s license is required only for driving positions.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment.
- Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment to the extent permitted by law.
- Meet any licensing requirements imposed by applicable state or local laws and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, employees, and vendors while following security procedures and site-specific policies.
- Carry out emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations, communicating with appropriate personnel as needed.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of retail common areas, storefronts, parking areas, and the perimeter.
- Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location.
- Report suspicious behavior, hazards, policy violations, and maintenance concerns according to site procedures.
- Accurately document incidents, patrol activities, and daily observations, and complete required reports in a timely manner.
