About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Unarmed Security Officer to support an aerospace and defense location in Reston, Virginia. The officer will help safeguard the site by monitoring assigned areas, conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence, and responding to security-related concerns. The role requires customer service and clear communication in support of a professional environment. The schedule is Saturday and Sunday, 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM. The pay rate is $24.62 per hour. An active DoD Secret Clearance and at least one year of security-related experience are required.

Requirements

At least one year of security-related experience.
An active DoD Secret Clearance.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
A high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements may apply under state or local laws and may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

CPR certification.
CPR/First Aid certification.
A Guard Card or license.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities, buildings, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor access points and verify visitor, contractor, and employee credentials according to site-specific requirements.
Accurately document observations, incidents, and irregular conditions, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
