Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Route Patrol Driver
About The Position
As a full-time Unarmed Route Patrol Driver in Columbus, Ohio, you will safeguard clients at a high-tech data center. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide customer service. This driving position requires a valid driver’s license. You will communicate clearly, support access and incident-response activities, and contribute to a team culture grounded in reliability, innovation, and integrity. The schedule is Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM. The pay rate is $21.79 per hour.
Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Applicants for unarmed roles must be at least 18 years of age.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
- Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements may apply under state or local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.

- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by following site-specific security procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, perimeter, parking areas, and other assigned locations to identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access points and verify credentials in accordance with site policies; assist with visitor and contractor entry procedures as assigned.
- Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, escalating concerns through established reporting channels.
- Accurately and promptly document patrol activities, incidents, and observations using site-required reporting tools.
