About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time unarmed Security Officer to provide patrol and route support at a retail location in Houston, Texas. The role involves routine foot and vehicle patrols, maintaining a visible presence to deter incidents, and helping create a welcoming environment for customers and employees. This is a driving post and requires a valid driver’s license. The officer will provide customer service, communicate clearly, respond professionally to incidents, and represent Allied Universal’s stated values.

Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and local laws and may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, customers, and visitors by following security procedures and site-specific policies and, when appropriate, carrying out emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations calmly and professionally, using problem-solving skills.
Conduct regular and random foot or vehicle patrols of sales areas, entrances, parking areas, loading areas, and the perimeter.
Monitor for unusual activity, potential policy violations, and security concerns, and report observations to site leadership and appropriate personnel.
Assist with access control, visitor direction, and incident documentation.
Maintain a professional presence that helps deter unauthorized activity.
