About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed patrol officer for a driving post at a commercial real estate location in Santa Monica, California. The officer will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control, and provide customer service to tenants, visitors, employees, and members of the public. The position involves communicating professionally with tenants and visitors and helping maintain a welcoming environment. The officer will carry out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate. Duties include patrolling public-facing property areas, building interiors, parking facilities, and perimeter locations; responding professionally to incidents and disturbances; monitoring access points and visitor activity; and preparing clear, accurate reports. Pay is $21.00 per hour. The scheduled shifts are Monday through Wednesday and Saturday and Sunday, 12:00 AM to 8:00 AM.

Requirements

At least 6 months of security-related experience.
A valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements; required for driving positions.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of public-facing commercial property areas, building interiors, parking facilities, and perimeter locations; identify and report unusual activity or maintenance concerns.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations, follow site procedures, and contact appropriate personnel or emergency services when needed.
Monitor access points and observe visitor activity in accordance with site requirements.
Prepare clear and accurate reports of patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities.
