About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time, unarmed Security Officer for a driving patrol post at a retail location in Houston, Texas. The officer will safeguard clients by conducting routine foot and vehicle patrols, maintaining a visible presence, helping deter security-related incidents, and providing customer service. The role requires a valid driver’s license and involves working Saturday and Sunday from 12:00 PM to 12:00 AM.

Requirements

Valid driver’s license, in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any licensing requirements that apply under state or local laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to customers, associates, and visitors by following site-specific security procedures, policies, and emergency-response activities.
Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout the retail location, parking areas, receiving areas, and perimeter; identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy concerns.
Monitor access points and customer and associate activity, and report suspicious behavior, incidents, and security concerns to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.
Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, follow site procedures, and document observations and actions taken.
Help maintain an orderly retail environment by providing a visible presence, directing visitors as needed, and supporting loss-prevention and emergency-response efforts.
