Security Officer Full Time Housing Facility
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a full-time, unarmed Security Officer to support a government services location in New York, NY. The role involves monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible security presence, providing customer service, documenting observations, and responding to security-related concerns. The position pays $18.87 per hour and is scheduled Monday through Friday, 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM. Applicants must hold a valid New York State Security Guard License, have at least one year of security-related experience, and possess a high school diploma or equivalent. Applicants for unarmed roles must be at least 18 years old. Employment is conditional on a background investigation and, to the extent permitted by law, a drug screen. Requirements

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff at a government services location by following security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations, escalating concerns according to established protocols.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned interior and exterior areas, including entrances, perimeters, common areas, and access points.
- Monitor access, verify authorization as directed, and report unusual activity, unauthorized persons, or potential hazards to appropriate personnel.
- Prepare accurate activity logs and incident reports while maintaining a professional presence to help deter unauthorized activity.
