About The Position

As a full-time unarmed patrol officer supporting a government social-services facility in New York, NY, you will help safeguard the site by conducting patrols, maintaining a visible presence, and reporting security-related concerns. You will provide professional customer service and clear communication to staff, visitors, and others accessing the facility while contributing to a welcoming environment. The role requires following site-specific procedures and security protocols and responding professionally to incidents and emergencies.

Requirements

Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
Have at least one year of security-related experience.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state and local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and individuals accessing government social-services facilities by carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related protocols.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations calmly and professionally, following established emergency response procedures.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned interior and exterior areas, entry points, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor access points and verify visitor, staff, and contractor authorization according to site requirements.
Accurately document observations, incidents, and patrol activity and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
