About The Position

As a full-time unarmed patrol Security Officer with Allied Universal in Brooklyn, New York, you will help safeguard a community-focused care location. You will maintain a visible presence, conduct patrols, respond to security-related concerns, and provide courteous customer service to staff, visitors, and program participants. The role is scheduled Monday through Thursday, 12:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m., and pays $18.87 per hour.

Requirements

Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements; licensing may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

Comfort using a computer or tablet.
CPR certification.
CPR and First Aid certifications.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, staff, and program participants while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
Monitor access points and visitor activity according to site-specific procedures; document observations and report concerns to appropriate personnel.
Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and professionally, following established escalation and emergency response protocols.
Prepare accurate daily activity reports and incident documentation, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal management.
