About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed Patrol Officer to support a government human services location in New York, NY. The officer conducts routine patrols, maintains a visible presence to help deter incidents, monitors access points and visitor activity, and responds professionally to security-related concerns. The role includes providing customer service and clear communication to clients, visitors, residents, and staff while following site procedures and reflecting Allied Universal’s team-oriented, reliable, caring, innovative, and integrity-driven culture. The position pays $18.87 per hour. The listed schedule is Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 12:00 AM to 8:00 AM. Applicants must have a valid New York State Security Guard License, at least one year of security-related experience, and a high school diploma or equivalent. Applicants must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles. Employment is contingent on a background investigation and a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, residents, and staff by following site-specific security procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned areas, entrances, common areas, and the surrounding perimeter; identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or policy concerns.
Monitor access points and visitor activity according to site procedures while maintaining a professional presence at a government human services location.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations; notify appropriate personnel and document observations as required.
Complete daily activity reports, incident reports, and other required documentation, and communicate relevant information to supervisors and site representatives.
