About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Security Officer in Milpitas, California, at a logistics and distribution location. The role helps safeguard the site by managing entry, verifying credentials, monitoring access points, and supporting a secure environment for employees, visitors, and operations. The officer provides professional customer service and responds to security-related concerns. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 5:30 AM to 2:00 PM. The pay rate is $24.00 per hour.

Requirements

Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 years of age or older for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required prior to employment.
Have a valid driver's license for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Access control and badge experience.
Comfort using a computer or tablet.
CPR and First Aid certification.
Alarm panel experience.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, issue visitor passes, and maintain accurate access-control records.
Respond calmly to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations, following site-specific reporting procedures.
Conduct regular and random patrols of loading areas, entrances, parking areas, and the business perimeter to deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
