Security Officer - Full Time - Patrol

About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed patrol officer to serve and safeguard a technology, media, and telecommunications location in Reno, Nevada. The officer will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security concerns, and provide customer service and clear communication. The role is scheduled Monday through Friday from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM and pays $24.00 per hour.

Requirements

At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
State or local licensing may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, access points, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter; identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy concerns.
Monitor site access by verifying credentials, observing visitor and contractor activity, and documenting entries, exits, and deliveries according to site procedures.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, service requests, and critical situations, escalating concerns to appropriate personnel when needed.
Complete accurate reports, patrol logs, and incident documentation, and communicate professionally with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
