About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Unarmed Security Officer for a retail beverage sales location in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. The officer will monitor and patrol the location, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide customer service to visitors, employees, and vendors. The role involves communicating clearly, reporting observations, and helping maintain a welcoming environment. The position is scheduled Monday through Friday, 10:30 AM to 6:15 PM. The hourly pay rate is $20.55. Applicants must meet age and education requirements and are subject to a background investigation and drug screen, as permitted by law. State or local licensing requirements may apply.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements prior to employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and vendors while following site-specific security procedures and policies.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the store, stock areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter.
Monitor access points and customer activity for suspicious behavior, prohibited conduct, or potential theft, and report observations according to site procedures.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, customer disputes, alarms, and critical situations; contact appropriate personnel or emergency responders when needed.
Prepare clear, accurate reports and communicate with site leadership and Allied Universal supervision about incidents, hazards, and unusual activities.
