About The Position

As a full-time Security Officer at a technology, media, and telecommunications location in Reno, Nevada, you will safeguard clients and help maintain a welcoming environment. In this unarmed patrol role, you will conduct regular patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, communicate professionally with employees and visitors, report concerns, and provide customer service. The position pays $24.00 per hour and is scheduled Wednesday through Sunday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable law.
Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet licensing requirements that may apply under state or local laws and regulations before employment.
A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors by carrying out site-specific security procedures and policies.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior spaces, exterior areas, parking facilities, access points, and perimeter locations; report unusual conditions, maintenance concerns, and policy violations.
Monitor access activity and visitor traffic according to site procedures, verify credentials, and direct guests to appropriate locations.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and other critical events; notify appropriate personnel and document actions taken.
Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and shift logs, and communicate professionally with client representatives and Allied Universal leadership.
