About The Position

As a full-time Hospital Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal in Greenville, South Carolina, you will help safeguard a healthcare facility and support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. This is a driving position requiring a valid driver’s license in the state where the job is located. You will patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence, provide customer service, respond to security-related concerns, and communicate professionally.

The position offers $19.19 per hour and requires a minimum of 30 hours per week. The schedule has not yet been assigned; a manager will determine it based on business needs during the hiring, onboarding, and training process, before the start date.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license in the state where the job is located is required for this driving position.
• Must meet hospital vaccination requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply under state and/or local laws and regulations.

Nice To Haves

• Comfort using a computer or tablet.
• Experience with alarm panels.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, patient care areas, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor direction, access control, and compliance with location policies.
• Accurately document incidents, observations, and patrol activities, and communicate relevant information to appropriate personnel.
