About The Position

As a full-time unarmed Security Officer supporting a government healthcare location in Ventura, California, you will help safeguard visitors, patients, staff, and members of the public. This driving position involves routine patrols, maintaining a visible security presence, responding to incidents and emergencies, supporting visitor management, and providing responsive customer service and communication. The schedule is Wednesday through Saturday, 12:00 AM to 8:00 AM. The pay rate is $24.53 per hour.

Requirements

At least two years of security-related experience.
Valid driver’s license in the state where the job is located; required for driving positions.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and local laws and may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, patients, staff, and members of the public while following site-specific procedures and security responsibilities.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas; identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, disturbances, alarms, and emergencies in accordance with post orders, notifying appropriate personnel.
Monitor access points and support visitor management procedures, directing individuals to appropriate areas as needed.
Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain required activity logs covering incidents, observations, and security-related concerns.
