About The Position

As a full-time Security Officer in Overland Park, Kansas, you will serve and safeguard clients at a technology, media, and telecommunications location. In this front desk role, you will welcome visitors, manage access, monitor entry activity, and provide customer service and communication. Your visible presence will help deter security-related incidents while supporting a professional, welcoming environment. The position pays $19.50 per hour. The listed schedule is Monday 7:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m. and Thursday through Sunday 3:00 p.m.–11:00 p.m.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements; licensing may be required before employment.
Have a valid driver’s license for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors at a front desk, following site-specific procedures and access protocols.
Greet visitors, verify identification and authorization, issue visitor credentials, and maintain accurate visitor records according to client requirements.
Monitor facility access, receive and direct deliveries, and assist with communications between guests, employees, and site contacts.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, following established emergency response procedures.
Monitor front desk activities and report suspicious activity, access concerns, and security-related incidents to appropriate personnel.
