About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer for visitor registration at a food and beverage location in Columbus, Ohio. The unarmed, driving role involves routine patrols, monitoring assigned areas, supporting access control, and providing customer service and clear communication to help maintain a welcoming and secure environment. The schedule is Saturday and Sunday from 2:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., at $18.00 per hour. A valid driver’s license is required for this driving position.

Requirements

Valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements; required for this driving position.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements may apply under state or local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by following site-specific security procedures and policies and, when appropriate, carrying out emergency response activities.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout food and beverage production, storage, delivery, and perimeter areas, identifying and reporting unusual activity or conditions.
Monitor entrances, exits, and visitor activity, and verify access credentials according to site policies.
Complete accurate incident reports, patrol logs, and shift documentation, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
