About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Visitor Registration in Schenectady, New York, serving a technology, media, and telecommunications location. The officer works at the front desk, welcoming visitors and supporting a secure, professional environment through visitor registration, access control, badge processes, and customer service. The schedule is Wednesday and Thursday from 4:30 PM to 12:30 AM and Sunday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. The pay rate is $20.69 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 years of age or older for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements may apply under state or local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.
A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and contractors by following site-specific security procedures and policies and, when appropriate, participating in emergency response activities.
Staff the front desk and control access by greeting visitors, verifying identification and authorization, issuing visitor credentials, and maintaining accurate entry records.
Monitor lobby activity, access-control systems, cameras, and communication channels; report unusual activity, access concerns, and facility issues according to site procedures.
Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, notify appropriate site contacts, and contact emergency personnel as needed.
Direct guests, answer routine inquiries, receive deliveries, and support a professional, welcoming environment.
