About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer for an enhanced part-time visitor registration role in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The position offers a fixed weekly shift at an assigned site, with a six-month commitment to that schedule. Officers may also claim additional shifts through the company scheduling platform, including shifts at other sites, with the option to increase hours up to 40 per week or scale back. The role pays $14.50 per hour, with weekly pay. The listed shift is Monday from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM.

The officer provides customer service while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, access control protocols, and appropriate emergency response activities. Duties include registering visitors, verifying credentials and authorizations, maintaining logs, operating access control systems, responding to incidents, and conducting patrols.

Requirements

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state and local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service while following security procedures, site-specific policies, access control protocols, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Monitor and control access by verifying credentials and authorizations and registering visitors and delivery personnel according to site requirements.
• Operate access control systems, maintain accurate visitor and contractor logs, issue and retrieve access credentials, and report discrepancies to appropriate personnel.
• Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, following post orders and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, looking for unauthorized access, unsecured entry points, and other security concerns.
