About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Visitor Registration in Whitsett, North Carolina. The role provides a fixed, reliable weekly shift at an assigned site, with a six-month commitment to that designated site and shift. The schedule is Saturday from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM, at a rate of $15.24 per hour. Officers may claim additional shifts through the company’s scheduling platform, with the opportunity to build up to a full-time schedule of as many as 40 hours per week and the option to scale back.

The position supports site security and visitor registration at a distribution location. The officer provides customer service, controls access, monitors and patrols the site, maintains records, communicates observations, and responds to incidents in accordance with site procedures.

Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements prior to employment, if required.

Nice To Haves

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to drivers, visitors, employees, and vendors by following site-specific access-control procedures and policies and, when appropriate, conducting emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials or authorization, issue visitor passes, and maintain accurate access-related logs and records.
• Respond calmly and constructively to access-control incidents, delivery-area concerns, and critical situations, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of business areas, loading docks, trailer yards, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel and transportation partners, and report observations, incidents, and maintenance concerns to appropriate contacts.
