About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Security Officer in Newville, Pennsylvania, at a logistics and distribution location. The role helps manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and maintain a secure environment for employees, visitors, and operations. The officer provides customer service, communicates clearly, and responds to security-related concerns. The position pays $18.54 per hour. The scheduled hours are Monday through Friday, 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; armed roles require being at least 21 years old.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
Have a valid driver's license if applying for a driving position.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and contractors by following site-specific access-control procedures and policies and, when appropriate, carrying out emergency response activities.
Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and delivery appointments, issue visitor or contractor access, and maintain accurate access-related records.
Control access to warehouse, loading dock, and restricted operational areas according to site requirements and authorized personnel lists.
Respond calmly to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations; escalate matters to appropriate site contacts or emergency services as needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, business areas, loading docks, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and report security-related concerns.
