About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer for visitor registration at a retail location in Denver, Pennsylvania. The officer helps maintain a welcoming, secure environment by monitoring access points, verifying authorized entry, responding to security concerns, and providing customer service. The role uses communication and computer skills to support daily operations while maintaining a visible and professional presence.

The schedule is Monday and Tuesday, 7:00 AM–3:00 PM. The pay rate is $18.03 per hour.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements; a license may be required before employment.
• A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and store personnel by following security procedures and site-specific policies and, when appropriate, carrying out emergency response activities.
• Monitor retail-location access points, verify authorized entry, and maintain visitor, contractor, and delivery records according to site procedures.
• Respond calmly and with a problem-solving approach to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations; notify appropriate personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned store areas, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
• Accurately and promptly document observations, incidents, and access-related activity using required reporting tools.
