About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a cleared, unarmed Security Officer to protect personnel, property, and sensitive or classified information. The role requires an active Department of Defense security clearance and includes specialized training in site-specific security protocols. The officer will work at a client site and help maintain a safe and secure environment while providing professional security and customer service. The pay rate is $28 per hour, and the schedule requires open availability.

Requirements

• Possess an active Department of Defense (DoD) position-appropriate security clearance.
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent, or five years of verifiable experience.
• Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements; licensing may be required before employment.
• Have at least one of the following: a minimum of three years of security experience on a DoD-cleared site, or prior military experience.
• Demonstrate effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
• Have exceptional customer service skills.
• Have intermediate computer skills to operate wireless technology at client-specific sites.

Nice To Haves

• Prior law enforcement or armed security experience.
• Associate's degree or higher in Criminal Justice, Business, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional security services to safeguard personnel, property, and information.
• Conduct foot, bicycle, or vehicle patrols within and around the facility to protect people, assets, and sensitive or classified information.
• Greet guests and employees and escort visitors and contractors to secure entry and exit points.
• Follow site-specific performance manuals and post orders.
• Report safety concerns, security breaches, and unusual circumstances to the client and/or other security personnel through written and oral communication.
• Respond to and assess security alarms or emergency alarms.
• Act as a first responder in emergency situations.
