About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed Security Officer for site patrol at an aerospace and defense location in San Diego, California. The officer will safeguard clients and personnel by conducting patrols, maintaining a visible presence, monitoring access to restricted areas, responding to incidents, and providing customer service. The position pays $27.56 per hour and follows a night schedule: Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM.

Requirements

Possess an active DoD Secret clearance.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
Monitor access to restricted areas by checking credentials, verifying visitor authorization, and following site-specific entry and exit procedures.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency services when needed.
Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation according to company and site requirements.
