About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a cleared, unarmed Security Officer responsible for protecting personnel, property, and sensitive or classified information. The officer receives specialized training in site-specific security protocols associated with their clearance level, supporting skill development and professional growth in the security field. The role includes facility patrols, visitor assistance, communicating security concerns, responding to alarms, and acting as a first responder in emergencies.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent, or five years of verifiable experience.
• Department of Defense (DoD) position-appropriate security clearance.
• Meet licensing requirements imposed by applicable state and/or local laws and regulations, which may be required before employment.
• Have at least one of the following: a minimum of three years of security experience on a DoD-cleared site, or prior military experience.
• Effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Intermediate computer skills to operate innovative, wireless technology at client-specific sites.

Nice To Haves

• Prior law enforcement or armed security experience.
• Associate's degree or higher in Criminal Justice, Business, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality security services while safeguarding personnel, property, and information professionally.
• Patrol within and around the facility on foot, bicycle, or vehicle to protect people, assets, and sensitive or classified information.
• Greet guests and employees and escort visitors and contractors to secure entry and exit points.
• Follow site-specific performance manuals and post orders.
• Report safety concerns, security breaches, and unusual circumstances to the client and/or other security personnel through written and oral communication.
• Respond to and assess security or emergency alarms.
• Act as a first responder in emergency situations.
