About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a cleared, unarmed Security Officer to protect classified information, personnel, and property at a site in Huntsville, Alabama. The role involves specialized training in site-specific security protocols and offers opportunities for professional growth in the security field. The position pays $20.60 per hour, has full-time opportunities, and is open across all shifts. An active Secret clearance is required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent, or five years of verifiable experience.
• Department of Defense position-appropriate security clearance; the posting specifies an active Secret clearance.
• At least one of the following: three years of security experience on a Department of Defense-cleared site or prior military experience.
• Effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Intermediate computer skills to operate innovative, wireless technology at client-specific sites.
• Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

• Prior law enforcement or armed security experience.
• Associate's degree or higher in Criminal Justice, Business, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality security services, safeguarding personnel, property, and information with professionalism.
• Patrol within and around the facility on foot, bicycle, or vehicle to protect people, assets, and sensitive or classified information.
• Greet guests and employees and escort visitors and contractors to secure entry and exit points.
• Follow site-specific performance manuals and post orders.
• Report safety concerns, security breaches, and unusual circumstances in writing and orally to the client and/or other security personnel.
• Respond to and assess security alarms or emergency alarms.
• Act as a first responder in emergency situations.
