About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer to support a technology, media, and telecommunications location in State College, Pennsylvania. The officer will help safeguard clients by maintaining a visible security presence, monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, responding to concerns, and providing customer service and clear communication. Applicants must hold an active Department of Defense Secret clearance. The schedule is Thursday and Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., at a rate of $27.00 per hour.

Requirements

Hold an active Department of Defense Secret clearance.
Be at least 21 years of age for this role, as specified in the job overview.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements prior to employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, following site protocols and reporting requirements.
Conduct regular and random patrols of facility buildings, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor access to restricted areas and verify visitor and contractor authorization.
Maintain accurate activity logs as required.
Observe and report unusual conditions, potential hazards, and security-related concerns to appropriate personnel.
