About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Security Officer to serve and safeguard clients at a retail and mall location in Long Beach, California. This unarmed patrol-driver position involves providing customer service to tenants, visitors, guests, and staff; conducting routine foot and vehicle patrols; maintaining a visible presence; and helping deter security-related incidents. The role requires a valid driver’s license. The posted pay rate is $19.57 per hour. The schedule is Monday, Tuesday, and Friday through Sunday, 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply under state or local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

• A state-, county-, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• First Aid certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and guests while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout the shopping center, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, disturbances, medical situations, and other critical events in accordance with site procedures.
• Monitor access points, observe property activity, and report unusual conditions, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to site management or appropriate personnel.
• Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and patrol logs in accordance with company and site requirements.
