About The Position

As a full-time Unarmed Security Officer at a cultural institution in Atlanta, Georgia, you will serve and safeguard clients while supporting a welcoming experience for visitors, staff, artists, and vendors. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, respond to access control and alarm-related needs, communicate professionally, and contribute through teamwork and integrity.

The position pays $19.13 per hour. The listed schedule is Monday and Friday through Sunday, 5:15 PM to 1:15 AM. Applicants are subject to a background investigation and, where permitted by law, a drug screen. Licensing may be required under applicable state or local regulations.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any licensing requirements imposed by applicable state or local laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, artists, and vendors by following site-specific procedures, access control practices, and emergency response activities.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, visitor concerns, and critical situations; notify appropriate personnel or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols in galleries, performance areas, public spaces, offices, loading areas, and the exterior perimeter.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas; verify authorized access; and provide directions or assistance to guests during events, exhibitions, and performances.
• Document observations, incidents, and unusual conditions according to Allied Universal and site-specific reporting procedures.
