Security Officer - Full Time Unarmed Patrol

About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed patrol Security Officer to serve and safeguard clients at a financial institution in Sterling, Virginia. The officer monitors and patrols assigned areas, maintains a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, supports access control, and responds to alarms. The role also involves providing customer service and clear communication to help maintain a welcoming environment. The schedule is Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM. The pay rate is $27.27 per hour.

Requirements

At least 2 years of security-related experience.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any licensing requirements that apply under state and/or local laws and regulations; licensing may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

Comfort using a computer or tablet.
Alarm panel experience.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
Monitor access points, lobby areas, and surrounding property for unusual activity, following visitor and employee entry procedures.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, and communicate observations to site contacts and/or emergency responders.
Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and the perimeter.
Document incidents, patrol observations, and security-related concerns according to company and site-specific reporting procedures.
