About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring an unarmed Security Officer for a part-time enhanced role in Oxnard, California. The position provides consistent hours at an assigned site, with a designated weekly anchor shift requiring a six-month commitment. Officers may also claim additional shifts through the company’s scheduling platform, with the opportunity to increase hours up to 40 per week or scale back as needed. The stated pay rate is $21.00 per hour. The listed schedule is Sunday, 4:45 AM–12:00 PM.

The officer provides customer service and carries out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities. Duties include unarmed patrols, monitoring entry and exit points and site activity, responding to incidents, and completing reports. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and compliance with applicable background investigation, drug screening, and licensing requirements.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for an unarmed role.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, staff, visitors, and donors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations calmly, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of distribution areas, donation processing spaces, loading docks, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter.
• Monitor entry and exit points and observe delivery and donation traffic; report unusual conditions or maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare accurate activity, incident, and shift reports while maintaining a professional presence throughout the location.
