About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time, unarmed Security Officer in Lexington, South Carolina. The position provides reliable hours at an assigned retail site, with the option to claim additional shifts at other sites through a scheduling platform. The designated weekly anchor-shift assignment requires a six-month commitment. Employees may pick up extra shifts and can build toward a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week, with the option to scale back. The pay rate is $16.00 per hour. The listed schedule is Monday, Tuesday, and Sunday from 3:30 PM to 11:30 PM.

The Security Officer provides customer service while carrying out security procedures and site-specific policies, conducts unarmed patrols, responds to incidents and concerns, monitors access, and documents activity. Applicants must have a valid driver’s license under company policy, be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles, and have a high school diploma or equivalent. Applicants are subject to background investigation and, where permitted by law, drug screening. Licensing requirements depend on applicable state or local laws.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.

• Applicants are subject to drug screening to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and visitors while carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and participate in emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond calmly and with a problem-solving approach to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations, escalating issues according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail location, including sales areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter.
• Observe and report suspicious activity, policy violations, hazards, and maintenance concerns to appropriate site contacts or leadership.
• Assist with access control, monitor entrances and exits, and maintain accurate activity and incident documentation.
