About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time enhanced front desk Security Officer at a financial institution in Charlottesville, Virginia. The position provides a fixed weekly shift at an assigned site, with a six-month commitment to that shift. The officer may also claim additional shifts through the company's scheduling platform, with opportunities to increase hours up to 40 per week and flexibility to scale back. The listed pay rate is $20.50 per hour. The scheduled shift is Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation, subject to applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees at a financial institution by following site-specific security procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Greet and screen visitors, verify identification and access authorization, issue visitor credentials, and maintain accurate visitor and access logs.
• Monitor the front desk, access points, alarms, cameras, and other assigned systems; report unusual activity and security concerns according to site procedures.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations; notify appropriate personnel and emergency services when needed.
• Maintain a professional lobby environment by providing directions, answering inquiries, and coordinating with bank personnel regarding visitor access and deliveries.
