About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time, unarmed Security Officer for an assigned aerospace and defense site in Savannah, Georgia. The role provides a dependable weekly anchor shift, with a six-month commitment to the designated site and shift. The officer may claim additional shifts through the company’s scheduling platform, with the opportunity to build up to a full-time schedule of as many as 40 hours per week and scale back when needed. Pay is $20.64 per hour. The listed schedule is Sunday, 11:00 PM–7:00 AM.

The officer provides customer service while carrying out site-specific security procedures, conducts unarmed patrols, monitors access points, responds to incidents and alarms, supports emergency response, and documents and communicates security-related activity. Requirements

• Valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements; a license is required for driving positions only.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and guests while following site-specific security procedures and policies at an aerospace and defense location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities, access points, parking areas, perimeter areas, and other assigned locations to identify unusual activity and help deter unauthorized access.
• Monitor access control points, verify credentials as required, and maintain visitor and contractor entry records according to site procedures.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; notify appropriate personnel and document activities according to established procedures.
• Support emergency response activities, complete required reports, and communicate observations or security concerns to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
