About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Armed Security Officer for an aerospace and defense location in Roanoke, Virginia. The officer will help safeguard clients by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible security presence, supporting access control and incident response, and providing customer service and clear communication. The position is scheduled Monday through Friday from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. and pays $23.74 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, following established reporting and escalation protocols.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations at aerospace and defense facilities.
Monitor access control points and verify authorization for personnel, visitors, vehicles, and deliveries according to site requirements.
Maintain required qualifications for armed duties.
Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and patrol logs.
