About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time, unarmed Security Officer for patrol and communications duties at a financial services location in Boston, Massachusetts. The officer will safeguard the client by patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence, supporting access control, communicating professionally with employees and visitors, and providing customer service. The role is scheduled Friday and Saturday from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM and pays $22.05 per hour.

Requirements

At least 2 years of security-related experience.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing may be required before employment, subject to state and local laws and regulations.

Nice To Haves

Comfort using a computer or tablet.
Customer service experience.
CPR certification.
Access control and badge experience.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors while following site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and the business perimeter; identify and report unusual activity or potential security concerns.
Monitor access points, verify visitor authorization, maintain visitor records, and assist with access-control procedures.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; escalate concerns to appropriate personnel or emergency responders as needed.
Prepare accurate reports and communicate observations, incidents, and security concerns to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
